Wednesday, June 29th, 2011The Royal Poincianas are blooming in South Florida….which reminds me of this scene, from late May of last year in Guanacaste, Costsa Rica. We were on our way to the “monkey trail”….a mountain road atop of which was a Zip Line attraction.

Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011We got an e-mail from B’ster’s pal John, who is a rough and tumble kind of guy (he of the Cheerleaders in Baseball post I stole from him a while back and posted here)….so I am once again stealing his line(s) and photo and posting them here.

Pizza Party
Tuesday, June 21st, 2011I’m finally getting the hang of this. B’ster bought me a “pizza peel”….between the peel and parchment paper…it makes the pizza delivery and removal from the incredibly hot stone a no brainer.

From the Cajun ~ Orange Sherbet

Orange Sherbet
Five 12 oz cans of shasta or fanta orange soda (they have the highest carbonate content)
One 14 oz can of condensed milk (Eagle Brand, not the low-fat kind)
One 6 oz can of concentrated orange or grapefruit juice
Put all the ingredients directly into the cannister gently, make sure the cannister is no more than 2/3 full because it will swell, hence only 5 cans of soda. Process per your ice cream machine instructions.
