I’ve come up with a great new strategy…send the Iguana Man to Beds, Bath & Beyond to pick me up a little something, chip clips, apple corer, like that. He inevitably finds something very cool. The latest being this little beauty, aptly named Pure Indulgence. And it is.
So far, I’ve made a batch of vanilla and double chocoholic ice cream. But it is so very simple that I have a thousand other ideas. Highly recommend. I hadn’t had homemade ice cream since I was a kid, and it is sooooo much better than store bought. I can think of nothing better for a hot summer day. We have some vanilla beans on the way, inasmuch as Publix wanted $8 for one bean!!! What on earth did we do before the intertubes? Oh, and the best buy for the machine itself is at Costco (edit, h/t to my pal Mary, who thinks my thoughts before I do).
Okay, must run, I have baby backs on the grill, it’s about time to start adding the hickory chips.
Bon Appetit!

I knew this was going to be your new toy! Iguana man was talking about it when we ran into him at B,B & B. Being the culinary chef that you are, I see unbelievable flavors and combinations coming out of your kitchen! Might one contain mexican chocolate with a hint of hot peppers! Have fun and bring out those waffle cones, homemade acourse! I have purchased my vanilla beans at Costco…
