I Love My KitchenAid Mixer

The Iguana Man (over) indulged me for my birthday this year with a fabulous KitchenAid Stand Mixer, and the (3) Roller Pasta Set.  My friend the Island Girl has a Grinder Attachment, so we decided to give it a whirl with the leftover pork butt from our great Hawaiian adventure….and made some delicious breakfast sausage.

Delicious Home Made Breakfast Sausage

Those (Alton Brown’s Breakfast Sausage Recipe) are ready for the freezer.  I’ll add some links/recipes/photos later, of the stuff I’ve made thus far with this spectacular machine.

[Edit:  Here are photos and commentary on the sausage making process.  Contrary to the old saying, you really do want to know how sausage is made.  It's really easy, and well worth the time and savings.  Plus it is tres delicioso!]

Me too! All those recipes I used to mix by hand or with a hand mixer now go into the Kitchenaid: perfect for someone with Arthritis and shoulder issues.
Now if they could only make it lighter-weight…

Ah yes, I decided I had to have one only after I rationalized the counter space it would inhabit, permanently. Kind of like the microwave, LOL. After two weeks, I can’t believe I lived without one all my life! Color me spoiled rotten. :)
